Real Madrid Vs Atletico Madrid
14:45 (US Eastern) Saturday 24th May 2014 (neutral venue)
The Champions League Final before a FIFA World Cup always has a special feeling about it.
In non World Cup years the final marks the end of the season and the start of a long stretch without football, nothing to watch on Sunday afternoon and perhaps having to speak to your wife again. It’s a bit like saying goodbye to a friend who you know will come back in 3 months but you are still going to miss him while he is gone.
Not so in World Cup years such as this one when the end of the UEFA Champions League Final is the beginning of the buildup to the World Cup that starts in Brazil less than 3 weeks later. In these years the last club game of the season wets our appetite for the feast of football we are about to gorge ourselves on over summer.
Just look at some of the names that will be on the field in the Champions League Final and then back up again for their country in Brazil.

For the underdogs
There will be half a dozen players that will face off against one another on May 25th then get on a plan together the next day as part of the Spanish national squad.
Where to bet
Cloudbet (review, bettors in the must use a VPN) and Nitrogen Sports (review) are the best options in the world. They will both offer the full range of bet types, live betting, good customer service, fast and secure transactions and high limits. Nitrogen often has the best odds but Cloudbet has higher bet limits and a huge 5000 m฿ sign up bonus.
Soccer bet types
The major sports bet types are covered in Sports bet types explained but there are a few bet types that are unique to soccer.
The 2 things that separate Soccer betting from other sports is that Soccer is very low scoring and the draw is a very common result. To avoid losing on a draw you can select the “Draw No Bet” market in which you bet on Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid and if the game is a draw your bet will be refunded.
As this is a final make sure you know whether you are betting on the result after 90 minutes of regular time, which is the standard (Real/Draw/Atletico) market, or if you are betting on which team will lift the trophy which could include extra time and penalties and for which the draw is not an option.
The “Correct Score” market is betting on the exact score after 90 minutes. It’s a highly entertaining bet type that can be good fun and nail-biting right to the end.
