This week’s soccer betting preview includes the Australian A-League’s Perth vs Adelaide match and the Premier Leagues’ Watford vs Man United and Liverpool vs Arsenal matches. Plus we highlight the best crypto odds for each match.
Perth to win at odds of 2.36
Perth Glory vs Adelaide United
Australian A-League
Perth has built a good squad with championship aspirations following a poor showing last season. The signing of former Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge should add significant clout to the team this season. Whether Sturridge will make his debut is up for debate but it seems likely that he’ll miss the opening match due to fitness issues. The team’s bolstered by new skipper Brandon O’Neill and attacking talents Bruno Fornaroli, Andy Keogh, and Adrian Sardinero.
The over 2.5 bet is also a viable option as both sides often find the net. In 6 of Perth’s last 7 home victories, their opponents also found the net. Adelaide scored at least one goal in 10 of their last 11 away defeats. Adelaide is consistently poor travellers with Carl Veart’s men only picking up 36% of their points away from home last season. Adelaide won’t be able to match Perth at home which makes the 2×1 and over-bet look favourable.
Watford vs Man United under 2.5 total goals at 2.32
Watford vs Manchester United
English Premier League
Manchester United have no alternative but to return to their winning ways when they visit Vicarage Road to face Watford. United have only 1 win from their last 6 outings and have taken only 4 points from 18 available. After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer survived the international break, he’ll be desperate for 3 points. A poor performance against Watford, who are just outside the relegation zone will undoubtedly lead to his swift dismissal.
Watford has lost both their home games under Claudio Ranieri so far, but they’re counting on Solskjaer to make good on his promise to return to a more open, aggressive style. This would allow the Hornets to utilize space on the counter-attack. Watford won’t have the skill to exploit all of United’s vulnerabilities but United are missing Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani, and Paul Pogba which makes an under 2.5 total goals bet an attractive prospect.
Liverpool vs Arsenal under 3.5 total goals at 1.66
Liverpool vs Arsenal
English Premier League
Liverpool has slipped to fourth in the Premier League, just 1 place and 2 points ahead of Arsenal. Liverpool is in much need of a win, after only picking up 1 point from their last 2 matches against West Ham and Brighton. Liverpool looked porous in the second half against West Ham, which Arsenal would undoubtedly see as an opportunity to create chances.
The Gunners have the ability to make things difficult for Liverpool, while defensively the Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, and Gabriel axis continue to impress with the trio only conceding 4 goals in 8 games. They’ll face Liverpool’s deadly attack which is still missing Roberto Firmino but ultimately Klopp will be relieved about Sadio Mane’s availability. It should be a low-scoring affair and under 3.5 total goals looks like a value bet.
