I’m writing this review on a Monday night, yet IviBet still has 1,320 active betting markets, 56 of which are live. It gives you an indication of just how many sports and markets are covered.

Along with the usual selection of soccer, rugby, cricket, athletics, and racing markets, there are a few unique selections:

Even if I include all eSport markets as one (and that would be unfair considering how extensive each of these markets are) there are still over 25 sports on IviBet.

Odds

Odds are displayed in a decimal format by default, but you can change this in the “Preferences” section of your account, with six different options. The odds themselves are very competitive. I compared IviBet to a few top sportsbooks and it had comparable or better odds for the favorites every time, with equal or lower odds for outsiders.

My Experience: This promotion will require constant betting all week to beat other users. I went for it once and finished in 15th position, and the free bet I received lasted for 3 days.

IviBet live chat isn’t exclusive to paid-up members, as seems to be the case with many new casinos and sportsbooks. The little message icon popped onto the bottom corner of the screen as soon as I visited the site. I tried it before joining, half expecting to be asked for my username, and I was connected in seconds. It only asked for my name and email, and as I made a mistake entering the latter and still connected, even these weren’t important.

First, I was connected to an AI chatbot. These rapid-fire virtual support agents are basically just copy-paste bots that gave me information from the FAQ. It wasn’t very helpful, and I expect it might be a little frustrating if you have a valid issue and need human assistance.

But if you persist, as I did, you’ll eventually see an option to connect with a human. It connected me within five seconds, so no arguments from me! Email support is available if you want something a little less direct (support@IviBet.com), and the “Contact Us” link in the footer takes you to a contact form. They responded to my queries within two hours when using these two options.

License and Security—Is IviBet Safe & Legit?

Everywhere I looked, I found IviBet reviews stating that it didn’t have a gambling license. But I also found a few that mentioned a license from the authorities of Curaçao. There was no license linked in the website’s footer, and I couldn’t find anything on the Curaçao eGaming site either.

Then I saw this on the IviBet homepage:

Naturally, I opened a live chat and asked. They told me that the company was incorporated in Costa Rica and gave me the company ID (which is displayed in the footer). I repeated that I was looking for the Curaçao license, and they repeated their reply. When I pushed, they eventually told me to email them as that information wasn’t available through live chat.

So I did, only to be told again that IviBet was incorporated in Costa Rica. The support ticket was then closed.

I am not sure if this was a misunderstanding or not, but I can only review what I see, and what I see is an unlicensed site.

It’s still secure. It has a good reputation, and it works with licensed software providers and iGaming developers. If it does indeed have a license and I just missed it, even better. As things stand, though, it appears that the homepage statement is incorrect.

Reputation – What do IviBet Player Reviews Say?

I scoured a few gambling forums for info on IviBet and found only a few mentions. Most of them were positive. Professional reviewers seem to have pretty much the same opinion of the site as I do, while Trustpilot reviews are average.

It holds a 2.5/5 rating over on Trustpilot. That might not sound too great, but it’s important to read between the lines with these things. After all, Apple is one of the biggest and best-loved brands in the world, and its score is just 1.9.

If you look at the negative reviews, you’ll see that many complain about bonuses. We’ve all been in a position where we’ve misread bonus terms, not realized, and then been annoyed when the bonus wasn’t released. Those terms exist for a reason, and few sites will ignore them if you make a mistake.

For me, the most important takeaway is that IviBet has responded to around two-thirds of all negative reviews, suggesting that it is keen to remedy issues. The responses are also polite and professional.

IviBet covers all bases when it comes to responsible gambling. I was able to set deposit limits on fiat payment methods, and there are some helpful links, as well as a full bet history to check all previous deposits and wagers. After accounting for IviBet’s great bet selection, fast customer support, excellent navigation, competitive odds, and payout speed, I feel a 3.9 is fair. It would have been much higher if not for the unanswered questions concerning its license, or lack thereof.

My review seems to align with what others are saying, as many seem largely happy with what the site has to offer but are concerned about licensing and other factors.

My Final Verdict – Do I Recommend Betting at this Sportsbook?

I definitely recommend betting at IviBet. It clearly has a lot to offer and will do particularly well among follows of eSports. It’s hard to get passed the licensing issue, though. I would have loved some clarity on that, but I didn’t get it, and the result is that IviBet scores much lower than it could have done.
