Heads-up displays (HUDs) are a powerful tool for serious poker players. They let you see your own and your opponent’s stats in real time. The info is presented as an overlay right on the window of the table where you are playing. Meaning you don’t have to go to a separate interface to check the stats you need to make the best decision as the clock is winding down. Between sessions, you can also take a deeper look at your history to reveal holes in your game and see how to manage your playing time optimally.
Free Poker Database
One HUD option for crypto poker players is trying to hack Free Poker Database (FPDB) with any of the top crypto poker rooms. FPDB is a free open-source program that takes a lot of manual technical configuration and is not user-friendly. You will need to install a MySQL database on your machine as well as other programs. If you are tech-savvy and enjoy tinkering and saving money you will love it, anyone else will be pulling their hair out.
Using poker tracking software without the HUD
You can request your hand history from crypto poker sites and then import it into HUD software like Poker Tracker and Holdem Manager. You won’t get a HUD but you will get your stats and analysis. We are early in the evolution of the crypto poker ecosystem and we are a small player base. As crypto takes over the gambling world there will be more and better crypto poker HUD options and we will keep updating this page as they emerge. We’ve prepared a short poker knowledge quiz for you to find out if you are a poker expert 😉
